In lap steel circles, this Bakelite Rickenbacker model B gets rave reviews. Besides being a hard-to-find 7-string, it has the 1 1/2″ wide horseshoe magnet and through-body string anchoring. Add the original hardshell case and you have one of the most desirable Hawaiian steel guitars ever, but still at the price of a garden variety used Martin or Gibson acoustic guitar. So go ahead, reward yourself for choosing a guitar path less taken.
