1952 Gibson ES-350 Sunburst Arch Top Electric Guitar Used

This Gibson ES-350 was made in Kalamazoo in 1952 and it’s one of the cleanest early 1950s Gibsons of any kind that we have ever offered. This guitar was purchased new in the Midwest and we got it from the family of the original owner, who kept it in meticulous condition. This early version of the ES-350 is 17 inches across the lower bout and it has a full 3 ½-inch deep body. The scale length is 25.375” and the nut width is 1 11/16”. (This is a very different guitar than the later ES-350T model, which has a thin body and a short scale.)

This guitar sounds great for jazz, blues, rock ‘n’ roll and, well, just about any style you want to play. It’s fitted with a pair of P-90 pickups, a master tone control on the upper bout and two volume knobs on the lower bout. This setup allows you to blend the volumes between the P-90 pickups to dial in your tone. The finish is in excellent condition overall with just a hint of the usual crazing. The original frets show only a little wear. The only thing that’s been changed on this guitar is the hinge on the original tailpiece broke and it was replaced (a common problem with these tailpieces). The original tailpiece was saved and is included. The original brown case is in equally clean condition and the classic pink interior lining is vibrant. It also includes the original hang tag and a partial page from an original Gibson catalog showing the ES-350. A cherished one-owner vintage Gibson archtop in superb original condition.
