2007 Martin 000-28VS 12- Fret Acoustic Guitar- Used

Martin’s “Vintage Series” was created to offer players vintage inspired guitars directly influenced by their most celebrated creations. The 000-28VS pulled deep from Martin’s lore and re-introduced players to the often overlooked 12-fret 000. Because the neck meets the body at the 12th fret , rather than 14 like the modern style, this model delivers a warm mellow tone with a pleasingly round and complex low end; with less mid-range punch than its 14-fret counterpart, its airy genteel nature makes it uniquely suited for complex fingerstyle arrangements. Also, the relatively wide nut width ( 1 13/16”) affords the player extra room on the fingerboard, making it a perfect choice for players who feel constrained by the comparatively narrow necks on modern styled guitars.

In terms of the cosmetic condition of the guitar, the instrument has certainly seen a fair amount of play. A close inspection of the guitar will reveal a few stray dings located sporadically throughout the top, back and sides of the guitar, and a few scratches on the back of the neck. At some point a top crack, located below the bridge, has been fully repaired by means of cleats. While the repair wasn’t done in-house, it was a good job, and the crack has been stabilized; so, the top is in perfect structural condition. Additionally, a new pickguard was installed. As for playability, the frets are in great condition and the neck currently has the ideal amount of relief; coupled with the fact that it has recently been set-up by our technicians – this guitar has a nice low action, proper intonation, and is incredibly easy to play!
