The WL-14 is the flagship model of the Waterloo guitar line and the inspiration that started it all. This example has the Jet Black finish, a favorite look here at Gryphon. It’s has an X-braced top (the “X” in the model code) and an adjustable truss rod (The TR in the model code.) It has the larger V-shaped neck and it’s been fitted with an L/R/ Baggs Anthem pickup. This WL-14 picked up a few dings and some very minor fret wear in the last eleven years, but the only repair has been to a 5/8″ long top-seam separation between the end of the fingerboard and the soundhole (glued and reinforced here). This X-braced Waterloo version is a great sounding and easy playing example of one of our favorite models from Collings’ Austin, Texas workshop. Includes the original hardshell case.
