2016 Collings I-35 Deluxe Custom Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar- Usec

This Collings I-35 Deluxe Custom was crafted in Austin, Texas in 2016. It’s perhaps the most beautiful carved-top hollowbody model Gryphon has offered, particularly for those who prefer a subtle, elegant approach to guitar decoration. For starters, it has solid, not laminated, highly flamed carved mahogany top, and a solid, carved mahogany back. It’s bound in faux tortoiseshell celluloid binding on all body and neck edges, and the knobs are carved ebony. The original owner didn’t skimp on electronics upgrades, opting for Häussel Humbuckers, which capture the classic PAF tone with modern functionality. As for condition, how many plus signs can be added to “excellent”? There’s no fret wear, the original owner clearly saw this custom Collings, built while Bill Collings was still working, as a work of art. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the artistry and play it, too.
