2016 Gibson Les Paul Standard T Electric Guitar – Used

This Les Paul Standard T was built in 2016, the year after Gibson’s redesigned Les Paul with Robo-Tuners was introduced to less than universal acclaim. The T in the model code for this guitar stands for Traditional and suggests that Gibson was going to return to the good ol’ days. At first glance, this Les Paul looks like a classic model with a nicely figured maple top with a Desert Burst sunburst on a mahogany body, and a mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard.

But this guitar does have some modern features including a weight relieved mahogany body, a neck with a compound radius fingerboard, locking Grover tuners, and push-pull pots all round. It’s fitted with a pair of Burstbucker Pro humbuckers with the classic three-way switch and separate Volume/Tone control set up.

But each knob has a secondary push/pull function. The two Volume controls pull up to split the humbuckers into single coils. Pulling up on the Lead Tone control enables a ‘Pure-Bypass’ mode, hard wiring the bridge pickup to the output jack, bypassing the other electronics. The Rhythm Tone control acts as a Phase switch in its pulled up position.

This guitar is in excellent, lightly played condition. There’s only the slightest surface wear to the finish and even less wear to the frets. The original hardshell case is in equally clean condition.
